What is Outreach?
“Outreach” is basically another term for Missions. In this team, we focus on connecting our student ministry with other churches/ministries. This means that we have the amazing opportunity to feed the homeless, offer prayer, etc., all for the glory of God.

What is your purpose?
As Christians, our purpose should always be centered on the Kingdom of Heaven. So, our purpose as the Outreach team is to do just that. We focus on bringing heaven to earth by helping those in need, in the hopes of spreading the Gospel and showing God’s gracious and unending love to the people of Augusta, and hopefully to people all over the world!

What do I need to do?
It’s simple. Whenever there’s an outreach activity available, keep yourself accountable and come. In Ecclesiastes, Solomon writes, “Two are better than one, for they can help each other succeed.” Outreach is all about man-power, which means strength in numbers. The more volunteers we have, the more people we help. Just show up with an open heart, ready to love people the way God loves us. However, if fear of rejection, fear of people’s judgements, shyness, etc. are stopping you from joining, remind yourself that God is your advocate. Matthew 18:20 says, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them.” When you knock on people’s doors to offer food and prayer and fear strikes you all of a sudden, remember that serving the community is bigger than your fears and that we are bringing glory to His name, one soul at a time.

How do I sign up?
Our calendar has specific dates announced whenever there’s an outreach activity available. As of right now, you don’t have to sign up for anything.
